STOMPIN’ AT THE DOME
Who has the best marching band in the country?

Every January, ten of the top Historically Black College and University marching bands step up and show out for the Honda Battle of the Bands.

Described as the All-Star game for marching bands, it’s about being the best, among the best. In Stompin’ at the Dome, the concert documentary, you’ll see and hear musicianship, showmanship, theatrics, and of course, the famed drumlines, as only the HBCUs can deliver. And you’ll descover why lessons learned in band are some of the best lessons learned in life.

See the HBCU marching bands in a way you’ve never seen before.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: Where can I buy a copy of the 2007 Honda Battle of the Bands Invitational Showcase “Stompin’ at the Dome” DVD? I can’t seem to find it in any of my neighborhood stores.

A: “Stompin’ at the Dome” is currently available online at www.HondaBattleOfTheBands.com and www.Amazon.com. It's also available at select HBCU bookstores.

Q: Why doesn’t the 2007 Honda Battle of the Bands Invitational Showcase “Stompin’ at the Dome” DVD present every song performed by all 10 bands? Couldn’t you have left some of the commentary off in favor of more marching-band action?

A: This is a two-part answer:

1. In order for us to lawfully provide you with a band’s performance, we must pay the copyright holder of the song a licensing fee for its use. If we were to feature all songs from all 10 bands, that would result in a 4-hour DVD with about 30-40 songs to be licensed. The current length and content of the "Stompin' at the Dome" DVD are ideal for viewing in one sitting, and allow us to price it affordably.

2. If you do not wish to see the commentary on the DVD, you may select the "Performances" menu option from the home screen of “Stompin’ at the Dome.”
